His films' most prevalent themes are about desire, passion, family, identity, women, the people of the middle and lower classes, love and death. The stories of movies usually complex. Perdro Almodóvar likes to use pop culture, popular songs, humor, strong colors...

    For example, the famous movie is called "Volver" in 2006. "Volver" means "to return".  In "Volver", Almodóvar used a lot of strong colors as the background. In the movie, the actress, Penelope Cruz, sang a song, "Volver". The story was humor also.
