Fritz Lang

Fritz Lang was an ambitious German-Austrian director. He wasn't afraid of giving new things a try. He produced a series of crime silent film. When the age of sound motion picture came, Fritz Lang  did not been beaten by the shock, but face the challenge and produce great films like M(1931). He tried hard in making new forms of film, then he made the world's most expensive silent film at the time of its release, Metropolis(1927). It was the first time that a robot appear in films. Because of the great dedication he had gave, Fritz Lang is also be regarded as the most influential director in the movie history.
