The star symbol that kept showing up in the film is the sign of the devils, not the star symbol of Jewish people, as the lecturer mentioned in the ending of the previous class. The actual star symbol of Jewish people is supposed to be Judaism six awn star. And this also drew our attention to the film.

  In this movie, the machine that workers worked on turned to be a big monster and killed workers.so The real devil is the metropolis or modenlization itself. The symbol of star not only represents the light of science but also considered to be the totem of devils.
