In terms of movie content, I was impressed by characters' sharing happiness with each other. For instance, when toughly suffering from unemployment and recession, Brahim's father still shared food with his colleagues and allowed Salvador (Brahim's friend who was lonely) to stay at his place and play with Brahim. Even though the living condition was terrible, Moustache still gave an old TV set to Brahim's family when knowing theirs was broken and a repaired car to Brahim's dad before he moved to another place. Actually, the meaning of friendship was presented through these scenes.
As for the approach of shooting, the director applied such special effects as freezing frames and monochrome interlude in several scenes like the art exhibit displaying children's artworks. As far as I know, this kind of shooting technique is comparatively rarely used in other films.
All in all, friendship, imagination and curiosity of childhood were vividly chronicled through Brahim's camera. Photography was Brahim's passion as well. The entire film reminds us how wonderful and fulfilling our childhood is.
